I have loved capturing a variety of milestones for #JFfamilies through the years. From newborns to first birthday milestones to kindergarten send-offs and beyond. And before you know it, you’re celebrating senior year. Significant things happen during this year and one of them is bound to trigger your still very vivid memory holding them for the first time now you’re about to send them off into the world; it’s absolutely crazy how some sayings are ridiculously true. The days are long, but the years are short.
In just a few short months, Tyler will graduate from high school and start the next chapter in his journey. Tyler has been in front of my camera before with Mandi + Jon’s extended family, but this was a first for this family sector. It’s so wonderful when I get to work with my client’s extended family and friends!
Tyler is actively involved with our local Fairfield Fire and EMS departments so we started his senior session down at the firehouse. It was so special to get to capture him in a place that has had such an impact on his life in recent years. You could see his face light up being at the firehouse and I can’t wait to see him carry that passion into his next chapter.
From Tyler’s Mom and Dad: Just over two years ago Tyler joined our local fire department as a volunteer. Little did we know that this would open the door to his true passion of helping others and direct his energy (and many of his nights, weekends, and days) to the various departments around our county. While we are not certain of where he will end up – one thing we know for sure: the young man in these pictures, that was not too long ago the little guy that made everyone stop and wonder at how wise beyond his years he always was – is going to make a difference in this world in a big way no matter where his journey takes him. To say that we are proud would not do justice. We are beyond excited to watch Tyler continue to grow into the man he was destined to be, and cannot wait to share the joy of this journey with him.
Once we finished capturing Tyler with both his fire and EMS gear, we headed to Mandi + Jon’s to capture him on their beautiful property filled with rolling hills, tall grasses and a fabulous countryside with farming neighbors. The whole family came along for Tyler and there to support him. Moments like that where you can see how much a family loves each other through their small actions brings me so much joy. We were even able to snag a fun photo of Tyler with his sister aka my celebrity assistant for the shoot.
Tyler, congratulations on your senior year! This is such an exciting chapter in your life and I’m so glad I was able to capture it. It’s clear you have a passion for Fire, EMS, helping others and creating joy around you. I can’t wait to see how that develops in the years to come!
