destination weddings | new offering

As we’ve now closed out our 2017 year, I can’t help but to reflect on what an amazing season in business it has been. I have had the opportunity to work with amazing clients and businesses, launch and lead the Gettysburg chapter of the Rising Tide Society’s TuesdaysTogether, started blogging all of my sessions, launched an online retail marketplace and closed out the year by launching our brand new offering – The Legacy Collection. Needless to say, it’s been a pretty amazing year to have been part of the growing Expressions family.

I know 2018 is bound to an even better one though. We have big plans for Expressions by Jamie and can’t wait to work with even more wonderful clients like you! One of the things I am most excited about in new year is shooting weddings full time again …plus…DESTINATION WEDDINGS!  I’m beyond thrilled that we have opened up this new adventure – not only can you now receive the best client care and timeless lifestyle imagery all over the United States, but we are passport ready to capture your big day exactly where you imagined it to be anywhere on the map.

When my first daughter was born, I decided to take a break from weddings (except for two of our closest and favorite peeps each year) so that I could be more present in our family and figure out this whole parenting thing while she was an infant. Focusing on families, newborns, seniors, brands and celebratory occasions allowed me to do just that. However, now that my youngest daughter has turned two, I’m excited to take on weddings once again.

While weddings are a new full time addition for 2018, I have long shot engagement sessions, second shot for colleagues’ weddings and stayed current by shooting collaborative styled wedding shoots. Being able to capture a couple’s love for each other in an intimate way that reflects who they are gives me so much joy. I look at each engagement session as a way to remind my couples why they’re planning this wedding in the first place.

Planning can undoubtedly be a stressful time for any couple. There is so much to do for your wedding on top of all your other responsibilities.  It’s easy to get wrapped up and forget about the most important part, you’re marrying your best friend, your soulmate – your forever.

A couple of weeks ago I stumbled upon an amazing offering from wedding planner Sarah White of The I Do List. Every year she runs a series called “I Said Yes! Now What?” Over a four week period she helps couples tackle the first four most important tasks of wedding planning – creating a design plan, setting and allocating your budget, starting your guest list and finally booking your venue and setting your wedding date.

For all of you newly engaged couples, it’s a great way to start planning knowing you’ve got a professional wedding planner guiding you through the first steps of planning. You can learn more about the program on Sarah’s blog or sign up right now.

I am excited for all the new year has instore for Expressions and can’t wait to work with you. To see if your date is still available for 2018 or to book your 2019 wedding, feel free to send me a direct email or fill out a booking inquiry.
