Heather of Heather Benge Events launched Styled Shoots Across America as a passion project to fulfill a dream of hosting a styled shoot in every state. I recently shot the styled shoot she organized at the George Peabody Library in Baltimore and the minute I saw her inspiration for this Somerset, Virginia, styled shoot, knew I had to be a part of it as well.
This feathered floral infused styled shoot took place at The Market at Grelen, a breathtaking garden setting with arbors, gardens and greenhouses. For this shoot, we set-up in the outdoor open tented area with beautiful natural light pouring in. Its white ceiling with skylights and landscaped floors set the perfect neutral backdrop that enhanced every detail of this day.
Just like the Baltimore styled shoot, our “bride and groom” are actually married. Jamie and Heather are celebrating 10 years of marriage and I love that they will have these images to remember the time by. Heather nailed any look you could possibly throw at her and Jamie was such a champ! Getting photos is not typically a guy’s favorite past time, but you could see the love he had for Heather through every image. Being witness to such a joyful bond is something I will cherish.
The group of vendors I worked with for this shoot were simply amazing. Everyone was so sweet and their talent took it to the next level. I even want to replicate some of the details, like the floral hoops created by I Do Weddings With Love, for my daughter’s room.
Chic Unique Vintage Rentals provided some amazing items for the shoot, including a beverage cart and lace draped bongo drum. These two pieces were the perfect display for Kadi Bakes’ dessert display. Her cake, macaroons, cheesecake and cake pops were amazing (and delicious)!
Heather, thank for planning another amazing styled shoot. Your eye for design is impeccable and it was an honor to be a part of your vision again!
