If you’ve never had professional family photos done before and want to sample photographers work to find the best fit for you, a mini session is a great way to determine who captures your family in the manner that matches your vision. While mini sessions aren’t something we offer year round I do offer them a couple of times a year using them to give back to charitable causes and have done mini session giveaways for special occasions as well. (hint: if you follow us on social media and we are asking questions about what you’d like to see from us, answering them usually gets you a little something in return 🙂 ).
A mini session is a great sampling representation of what we do in a full family session and the perfect opportunity to experience working together first hand. A family mini session lasts about 20 minutes and we capture your whole family plus a couple key family breakdowns.
Sarina + Lyle won a mini session during one of my giveaways. I loved spending time themand getting to know their adorable daughters Emma and Hannah at Wilson College in Chambersburg, PA for their session.
The campus is full of beautiful, historic white stone buildings that help reflect the perfect lighting. They also add a great visual interest to the background that doesn’t detract from the moments we’re trying to capture.
From Sarina: One special memory from this past year was bringing Hannah home. It’s always been a dream of mine to be a stay-at-home mom that I never thought I would be able to achieve. Lyle helped make that possible for me when we brought Hannah home and I could not ask for anything more! It was truly the highlight of my year.
Sarina + Lyle hadn’t had professional family photos done since before bringing home their youngest daughter, Hannah. Even though we only had a short time together, I was still able to capture this family of four together as well as baby Hannah with her mom + dad and by herself.
Sarina + Lyle, it was so great meeting your family. Your girls are beautiful and were so great during our session. Being a momma to two little girls is the best. Watching my girls bond over the years has brought so much joy to my life and I know it will for you as well!
