I have had the pleasure of knowing Colleen ever since I managed a local photo studio many years ago.  As a new hire, our boss paired her with me to learn the ropes.  We’ve stayed in touch over the years, supported each other in our entrepreneurial endeavors and began monthly dinner dates to catch up.  I’ve even had the pleasure of shooting Colleen and her husband Johnny’s engagement photos and wedding.  One of the things she has since added to her resume is becoming an independent consultant for Pampered Chef.

Pampered Chef celebrates mealtimes and believe they serve as a way to transform relationships, create traditions and build happier and richer lives.  With family and relationships as the focus every holiday season, Pampered Chef was the perfect addition to this year’s holiday gift guide.

As a Pampered Chef Independent Consultant, Colleen has something for everyone on your list.  She can help you get ready to cook Christmas dinner or find the perfect gift for the foodie in your life.  Colleen even has options for the little chefs.  She is featuring an electric wine opener, various stocking stuffers and even a kid’s pizza set in this year’s guide.  Don’t know what to choose?  Colleen is also offering a free gift with every $50 gift card purchase.

We know that you could simply go online, drag various items into your shopping cart and be on your merry way – BUT!  We feel it’s extremely important to not only get the things you need, but to make sure that the money you are spending is money well spent.  When you buy from a small business or independent consultant, the money you were going to spend anyway goes towards a local business owners paycheck.  You are directly helping them provide for their family and grow their business, not to mention getting that added personal touch of being able to work with an ACTUAL PERSON.  To help you get to know the Colleen and her business a little better, we asked her a few questions.  Her passion for food and bringing families together through cooking is evident and I know you’ll love her as much as I do!

When did you start your business and what inspired you to do so?

I started my business in December 2015. I was inspired because I wanted to help other. I have also gone to school for culinary so I have always had an interest in food.

Who do you help and how with your business?

We help people of all ages by giving them the tools to either learn how to cook or continue to better their cooking and baking skills.

Is there a specific charity/cause or annual community event that you contribute to?

Pampered Chef has options that allow us to contribute to Feed America and The American Cancer Society.

What do you love most about the drive behind your business?

I love helping people learn how easy cooking can be and that it doesn’t always have to be so time consuming. With our tools, we aim to help make it easier and faster.

What are three fun facts about yourself or your team?

I went to Vo-Tech in high school for culinary arts. I would rather bake than cook and I made my sister a Minion cake one year for her birthday. The minion was at least a foot tall!

Colleen, thank you for participating in this year’s holiday gift guide.  I can’t wait to try some of your products in my own kitchen and with my little girls!
