It’s crazy how fast a year can fly. It seems like just yesterday I was sharing Olivia’s first birthday and now we’re celebrating this big two-year-old. This is the fifth session I’ve done of Olivia including mom Kelly’s maternity session, Olivia’s birth, in-home newborn and one year milestone. I can never get enough of photographing my sweet niece, her personality and sense of adventure.
Over the last two years, I’ve put a lot of focus into not only developing my skills as a photographer but also my client experience. A big part of the EBJ experience is your pre-session consultation. I do a consult with every client, regardless of session type, to get to know your interests, likes and dislikes. This gives us time before your session date to craft an experience that highlights the things that make you who you are creating a unique experience for each client.
At two, Olivia is in to many things. But, her favorites by far are Elmo, playing outside and her black lab Tyson. For her birthday party, Kelly ordered the cutest little outfit that Olivia also wore for this session. Her rainbow leggings, tutu and elmo shirt created the perfect colorful outfit for fun little girl that highlighted who she is in this phase of her life.
One of Olivia’s birthday gifts was this teepee. Her, big brother Riley and even Tyson the dog love spending afternoons playing in it. It served as the perfect backdrop for capturing her dark curls and infectious personality.
Olivia and Tyson have the cutest relationship. They are wild together and always rough and tumble playing. When they’re together, it’s hard to get either to sit still. Since Kelly and I did a consultation before the session, I knew just what to expect. We were prepared with a little trick up our sleeves and put a dab of peanut butter on Olivia’s shoulder to entice Tyson to sit right beside her. It worked! Olivia thought it was the funniest thing which allowed me to capture her adorable laughing smile.
Livy Grace, I can’t believe you’re another year older. It seems like just yesterday your mom told me she was pregnant with you. Watching you grow into this sweet and joyful little girl has been a gift. I am so glad I get to be your aunt and can’t wait to see how you grow over the next year.
