I was raised on the East Coast in the teeny tiny town of Fairfield, Pennsylvania. I’ve been a great-granddaughter, granddaughter, daughter, sister, best friend, girlfriend, fiancé, wife and momma all in this little place that I’m proud to call home. Life’s relationships amaze me and are the basis for my company’s shooting style. In middle/high school, I met my (future) husband and soon became great friends. It was also in my middle school years where photography sparked in my heart. Seeing the beautiful images Pappy would take on my grandparents’ trips out west started it all for me.
I began working at a professional photography studio at age 19 and since submerged myself in the photographic industry. I embraced the switch to digital early and have managed two professional photography companies, trained staff and educated school-age children on the art of photography. I continue to expand my knowledge by attending workshops every year. This allows Jamie Fisher Collective to always better its techniques and offer state of the art products, which our clients LOVE!
I moved to Pittsburgh in 2004 where I pursued my dream and gained as much photography knowledge as I could grasp through schooling at Robert Morris University, Pittsburgh Filmmakers and a second shooter internship at David Burke Photographers. It was at Bobby Mo that I discovered my interest in capturing the world as it unfolds, fell in love with Hometown Pizza, joined RMU’s inaugural field hockey team and got engaged to my love.
Over the past ten years, I’ve created life art through engagement dates, wedding festivities, beauty of pregnancy, in-hospital newborn sessions, family outings, senior personality shoots, pet play date fundraisers, community events and corporate retreats. I’ve had the honor of getting to meet some amazing people and see some fabulous places allowing me to create and provide for a family I adore. Our little family now consists of my strong supportive husband Ricky, adorable furry son Bear, Irish Twin girls Claire Elise + Caroline Paige and to complete our little family, the most easy going little babe, Cooper James. I absolutely love being a photographer and getting to bring my large, extended, close-knit, family experience into the passion of my imagery.
This is my story. I can’t wait to tell yours!
