As a mom of two littles with another on the way, senior year for our babies seems so far away. But, I know this moment will come for me in the blink of an eye just as it has for Michelle. She was one of my closest friends when I worked at the photo studio years ago and I remember how she would constantly update us about all three of her children. It’s hard to believe that in a few short months, she’ll be graduating from high school and leaving for college.
I joined Lydia and Michelle at the beautiful Tayamentaschta, a center for environmental studies that hosts programs for the Greencastle-Antrim school district. The historic property is home to a 19th century farmhouse and barn, natural spring, spring house, log cabin, log house, pavillion and orchard. Having your session here gives us ample background options to craft the perfect setting for you.
For Lydia’s senior session, we wanted to focus on who she is now and what’s important to her in this phase of her life. While a big part of Lydia’s life is basketball, we concentrated on who she is off the court in this session and will do a senior mini session when she receives her uniform for this winter.
One of the most beautiful moments from Lydia’s session was when we followed the stream across the park to where it ran under the road. I captured some of my favorite shots of Lydia in the final moments of golden hour and the light could not have been more perfect!
Lydia, thanks for exploring Tayamentaschta with me for your senior session. I know you are excited about this next chapter in your life and it’s going to be a beautiful one. I’ll be waiting to hear on your final school selection and can’t wait for part two of your senior session in your new uniform!
