An engagement session provides the perfect opportunity to have professional photos taken of you and your new fiancé before your wedding day. You most likely haven’t spent much time in front of a camera together. Engagement photos are perfect practice for wedding day and provide a great reason to take a few moments away from day to day responsibilities to enjoy time together.
I met Jess many years ago when we both served at Longhorn Steakhouse. Over the years, she has followed my work and watched Expressions grow. She is recently engaged to Chase and reached out to schedule her engagement photos.
We spent the evening at Lake Mead where Jess + Chase live. There is a small inlet where people put their kayaks in the water with beautiful trees surrounding it. The sunlight coming through the trees, the temperature and everything about this session could not have been better. I wish I had this light for all of my sessions!
Jess + Chase have four children between them. The three girls joined us for the session playing on a nearby playground. Throughout the session Jess + Chase would watch the girls playing which brought out the most genuine smiles and laughs all night. About halfway through the session, the girls joined us by the inlet. Standing behind me, their sole focus was on making their parents laugh by any means necessary, including imitating a popular YouTube video. They had us all laughing the whole night.
Jess + Chase, it was so wonderful to see you and meet your beautiful family. Thank you for thinking of me to take your engagement photos. I had the best time with you at Lake Mead and haven’t laughed that hard in a long time!
