It’s funny how life gives us exactly what we need when we least expect it. About a year ago, Corey and Diana were living their separate lives. While they had grown up together, neither had thought of the other as anything more than a friend. One night, Corey sent Diana a simple message asking how teaching was going, and the rest is history.

From Diana: Corey is the most thoughtful, selfless and loving guy I have ever met! He and I grew up together, but never really “noticed” each other until last year! I find it funny how we could have been dating for a long time, but all because Corey took the time to ask how teaching was going did our relationship flourish! Corey is the best thing that has ever happened to me and I am so so thankful that he so casually walked into my life and swept me off my feet! We truly were meant for each other and I couldn’t be more excited to be marrying the love of my life and to become his wife!

I met Corey + Diana’s at their favorite sushi restaurant, Sapporo, in Waynesboro, PA. It’s their go-to date night spot and was the perfect place to kick off their engagement session. While these two have a lot in common, one thing they find hard to agree upon is their choice in a sushi roll. Corey is not a fan of wasabi and watching the two of them find a roll they could both share was quite comical!

Recently, we’ve had a lot of snow in South Central Pennsylvania and the day of Diana + Corey’s session, we were blessed with  fresh flakes that covered the ground. With piles of fluffy snow coating tree branches, it felt like a winter wonderland outside. Corey was such a trooper during this portion of our session. He’s not too partial to  cold weather, but he loves Diana so much he was willing to do whatever was asked of him for the photos which made her smile even brighter.

From Corey: Diana is an amazing and beautiful woman inside and out and I’m so lucky to have her in my life and to soon be able to call her my wife. She loves me for me and all of my silly habits which is always a good thing. Something that makes me smile is when she sits down and plays video games with me, sometimes for hours on end and it is just nice to be able to relax with her. Though I will never forget those long nights of staying up messaging back and forth while she was off because of the teacher’s strike – of course, that is where it all started for our relationship. I can’t wait ‘till our big day to finally be able to marry my best friend and start our amazing adventure together!

I’m so glad Corey was willing to brave the cold with us. The pure white color of the snow was the perfect setting for capturing little details like Diana’s engagement ring and a sweet little sign that said “I love us”. With the coordinating blanket they brought along as well, we were able to capture some snuggly intimate shots that will be beautiful to hang in their home together.

Diana + Corey, thank you for letting me capture your love for each other. It was so fun to step into your world and experience your favorite sushi place with you. It is always so refreshing to get to work with a couple who are so into each other that I truly become a fly on the wall and simply capture the relationship. Corey, thank you for being such a trooper with the cold weather too! I’m counting down the days until your June wedding!
