If you’ve ever been to a wedding expo before, you know they can often be overwhelming for both you and the vendor. With hundreds of participating vendors and even more couples in attendance with friends and family, there’s always a lot to take in. With a traditional format, you don’t always get the opportunity to really get to know potential vendors. But, some incredibly passionate wedding professionals set out to change that.
The weekend before Thanksgiving, I had the opportunity to participate in the Behind the Bash Wedding Show created by Pennsylvania wedding professionals Taryn + Lauren. After attending traditional shows and not enjoying the experience, they set out to change the way wedding expos operate. The result was Behind the Bash and it is one of the best shows I’ve ever participated in.
At Behind the Bash couples get to experience a wedding seeing set-ups and unique ideas in person. With vendors from all categories participating, brides and grooms can sample traditional and trendy food options, try various bar set-ups, experience ceremony, cocktail and reception areas, and get up close with materials and colors among other wedding essential details. By attending this show couples get to experience what it would be like to hire each of the participating vendors, not just hear a sales pitch.
The atmosphere at Behind the Bash was so inviting and unlike any other show. All the vendors were fun, amazing people to be around which was reflected in the natural conversations that started with every couple who walked through the door.
If you’re currently planning your wedding and looking to attend an upcoming wedding show to meet vendors and gain inspiration, Behind the Bash is exactly what you’re looking for. The award-winning vendors from Behind the Bash will help you plan a wedding that feels personal, authentic and incorporates your story into every detail. I am in awe of the people I met at the BTB Linwood Estates Show and am excited to be working with some of the vendors at my upcoming wedding this January.
