One of the best perks of my career is getting to love on not only my clients but my friends and watching families grow over the years. Holly + Steve have been longtime friends of ours turned clients and I’ve had the honor of capturing many milestones in their lives including maternity sessions when Holly was pregnant with each of their sons and annual family photos that even extended to include Holly’s horses, Billie and Luke.

This year’s session is all the more special because this amazing family is expecting their third blessing. Instead of doing a traditional maternity session focusing on dad + mom and her adorable bump, we chose to shoot a combo maternity and family session at the family’s new forever home behind right near Liberty Mountain Resort.

Already parents to two adorable little boys, Carter and Lucas, Holly + Steve are thrilled to welcome a baby girl this Christmas. Both boys are so excited to meet their little sister and are already the best big brothers to her.

From Holly: This year has been filled with surprises and changes for our family. In April, we found out we were expecting our third child which came as a bit of a surprise as we were packing to move out of our current home and live with my mother in law for several months in order to build our forever home. Having a baby was not on our radar. However, Steve and I were extremely grateful and excited for our growing family! Carter and Lucas have also been excited to meet their new baby sister. Cater is always talking to her, asking what she is doing, giving kisses and tickling my belly. Lucas knows “bebe” is in my belly and is constantly giving her hugs. We also learned this year that when one door closes, life always opens another! Unfortunately our plans to build our home fell through. However, in August we bought a house that we quickly fell in love with and felt like home for all of us. We can’t wait for Christmas this year to meet our baby girl and bring her home! We also can’t thank Jamie enough for capturing this precious moment in time as this is our last baby and our first fall in our forever home!!

Behind Holly + Steve’s home is a patch of woods that leads to a perfect wide open field. Without having to leave their property, we had the most beautiful, natural and dreamy setting to capture some intimate maternity photos of the couple.

I’ve done a number of sessions with the whole family. And now their oldest son Carter, knows the drill. He is now a pro knowing exactly what to do in front of Miss Jamie’s camera, including flashing a picture perfect smile every time. Who knows, we might have a future model on our hands with him!

Holly + Steve, I could not be happier for the two of you. It’s been an amazing year being surprised with the greatest blessing and moving into your forever home. Baby girl is lucky to have amazing parents like the two of you and the best big brothers. She will be your best Christmas gift ever!
