One of the main reasons families will opt to skip their annual family photos is stress. Everyone in your family is busy and coordinating schedules while persuading your kids to do something they don’t want to do can make anyone decide to skip the session this year. But when you look back, you’ll wish you had captured these years, no matter how hard they might be right now.

After ten years in business, I’ve found that the best way to get the youngest members of your family excited about this year’s session, is to make it fun for them. After booking your session with Expressions, we sit down and talk about all the things your family loves to do and the places you love to visit. From there, we craft a session that the whole family will love.

For Brett + Heather and their two adorable daughters Maddie + Caroline that meant coffee, donuts and exploring the walking trail behind Mr. G’s. Maddie + Caroline loved starting the session with sprinkle-covered treats and some of my favorite photos from this session are these sweet girls eating sweets almost as big as their heads! As for Brett + Heather, they needed all the coffee they could get to match the girl’s energy level post donut indulgence.

Gettysburg makes for a great location for any session. The lush green grass, colorful flowers, benches, and pathways give ample background options without having to go far. Plus, the wide open spaces are perfect for kids to run around and have fun which allows me to capture their most authentic joyful smiles.

Brett + Heather, I loved spending the morning enjoying some yummies with you and the girls. Their smiles are contagious and I loved experiencing the bond they have with each other. Thank you for letting me capture your beautiful family!
